5 Spanish go to the conquest of Europe in Hungary

This weekend five Spanish triathletes will face the challenge of the dizzying ITU Triathlon World Cup in Tiszaujvaros.

 

 

One more year, the Hungarian town of Tiszaujvaros will host an exciting competition that will take place over two days, and in which the triathletes will have to get their pass to the final of the 10 in August, during the semifinals on Saturday. Only the nine best triathletes in each semifinal will qualify for Sunday's final in an exciting duel against their opponents and the clock.

 

Cesc Godoy, runner-up in the 2013 edition, will head the Spanish representation in the men's category, along with Vicente Hernández (bronze medal in the European of Kitzbühel 2014). On the other hand, Miriam Casillas (runner-up of the Duathlon World Sub23 in Pontevedra), Carolina Routier (runner-up of Spain of Triathlon 2013) and Ana Mariblanca (ninth in the Sprint Triathlon European Cup of Larache 2014) will take the start in the female category.

 

All of them will have to face an initial segment of three laps on a course of 750 m swimming, followed by 20 km cyclists on a flat circuit on asphalt, to finish with 5 km of running on foot around the Hungarian locality.
