The Fromista Triathlon offers its “No Bonus” to those affected by Dana

In an admirable gesture of solidarity, the Fromista Triathlon has decided to allocate 8.000 euros to help those affected by the DANA that recently hit several municipalities in the province of Valencia.

The organisation has opted to go a step beyond the usual words of support, offering financial aid and also travelling directly to the most damaged areas to contribute to the reconstruction and meet the specific needs of the victims.

This donation comes from the so-called “bonus” that the organization had reserved as a prize for the athlete who managed to break the event record.

Finally, neither Jonas Schomburg ni Chloe Nicholas They managed to break the record set in the event, which has allowed the club to redirect that amount towards a greater cause: helping those who need it most after the devastation caused by the floods.

Help without intermediaries and direct action in Valencia

The Frómista Triathlon has made it clear that its support will not be limited to a simple monetary transfer.

In the words of the organizers, “The easy thing would be to donate the money to an organization's account number and watch the bullfight from the sidelines, but seeing the social networks and the unclear news that we are receiving in this regard, we do not consider that option.".

They have therefore decided to travel to Valencia to observe the situation first-hand and make decisions on the ground.

This action has special value due to the personal connection the club maintains with the affected communities.

Among its members, Fromista Triathlon It has a National Police agent assigned to village, one of the towns hardest hit by the DANA, as well as with a collaborator who works with the Land Army en Paiporta, another municipality seriously affected.

In addition, friends and relatives of several club members are directly involved, either as volunteers or as victims of the disaster.

A gesture of solidarity that goes beyond sport

The implication of Fromista Triathlon It is based on the commitment to be present and not look the other way in a moment of crisis.

QWe want to put a face to those people whom we are going to lend a hand to in these difficult times.", declared the club's management, underlining its desire to be directly involved in the relief and reconstruction process.

This approach allows every euro donated to be allocated in the most effective way, eliminating the uncertainty that sometimes comes with donations made through intermediaries.

The visit to the affected areas will take place in the coming days, when several members of the club will travel to the province of Valencia to assess the needs and adapt the aid based on what they see.

"Today it's them, but tomorrow it could be us“They stated in the official statement published on their Instagram profile, calling for empathy and collective solidarity.
