We asked Omar about the objectives of this concentration and he told us that "First of all, make a group, have time to talk, transmit the objectives that I have planned for this season. Do biomechanical studies in the water. Motivation of a different place of training and doing some different activity such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, etc.. "

We have also asked him about the benefits he can offer to train his athletes in Sierra Nevada, where Omar has answered: "After the 21 days I will tell you. At the moment we are doing protocol before the climb and we have chosen this time of the season to do comfortable intensities if it is going well and we repeat having the experience for more demanding workouts. "

So when they return to Pontevedra we will talk again with Omar González to tell us how this concentration has been. Hopefully this concentration in altitude goes very well.

Several are the triathletes who decide to train at altitude the Sierra Nevada, as the team of the University of Alicante directed by Roberto Cejuela who have spent several seasons there in recent years, or Gurutze Frades during this season, he has made several concentrations in height with his coach Roberto Corujo.
