The LD Triathlon World Championship premieres in Motala

Gustavo Rodríguez and Gurutze Frades with medal options at the LD Triathlon World Championships in Sweden

This weekend the Swedish city of Motala will receive the World Long Distance Triathlon Championships. An event that will bring together some of the best specialists in the county of Östergötland, and an appointment to which Spain arrives with three representatives in the elite categories.

Gustavo Rodríguez part as one of the rivals to beat in male categories, in a test in which also aspire to the world title the French Cyril Viennot,  Russian Nikolay Yaroshenko or the asutraliano Samuel Betten among others. Along with Rodríguez, the second Spanish in the field, Daniel Múgica It will also take the exit in Swedish lands.

In females, the Danish Camila Pedersen, the Polish Ewa Budgoi or the Finnish Kaias Lehtonen presents his credentials to rise with the final triumph. A test in which Gurutze Frades It will be our representative.

To begin, they will make two swimming laps of 4 km through the bay of the Swedish locality, followed by a cycling circuit of 120 km. Throughout three laps of 40 km you will travel a picturesque circuit that incorporates some technical climbs and turns. Finally, they will face a foot race sector of 30 km. A segment of three laps that will run largely on the shores of Lake Vättern by a circuit that will mix unpaved areas with asphalt sections.
