The historic Posadas triathlon changes this year of date, happening to be disputed at the end of September instead of at the end of August

The Cordovan town of posadas, one of the mythical cities of Spanish triathlon, will host next September 22 a new edition of the Posadas Triathlon, with its two characteristic tests, the Medium Distance Calima Challenge and Iron caliphs sprint distance.

Desafío Calima reaches its seventh edition. The test consists of 1.900 meters of swimming in the reservoir of Pantano de la Breña, in Almodóvar del Río. Later the triathletes will cover 90 km of cycling in a very fast route that runs largely along the Guadalquivir river. The T2 is located in Posadas. Finally 21km on foot will be 4 turns to a circuit of 5,25 km through much of the town of Posadas, where the public crowds the streets cheering the triathletes.

For its part, the Califas de Hierro Triathlon comes to its XXX edition, joining the select group of Spanish triathlons with 30 or more editions. Swimming is also done at the Breña reservoir dam, 750m. Subsequently 20 km of cycling in a fast circuit with two passes per Posadas. Finally, the test ends with the 5km of the race on foot, divided in two laps of 2,5 km by the center of Posadas with the warmth of the fans who turn to "their" triathlon.

• 15: 30 Exit VII Triathlon Calima Media Distancia Femenino.
• 15: 45 Exit VII Triathlon Calima Medium Male Distance.
• 16: 45 Exit XXX Sprint Triathlon Feminine Iron Caliphs.
• 17: 25 Exit XXX Sprint Triathlon Male Iron Caliphs.

The test has the unconditional support of the City of Posadas that year after year, and thirty, has seen thousands of triathletes invade its streets to enjoy its landscapes, its culture and its people. The Posadas Triathlon is included within the Europa FM Circuit with the organization of Ofsport.

The Posadas Triathlon supposes a great option to put the dorsal the next 22 of September in any of the two distances, sprint or average distance. Both tests will be Andalusian Championship of the distance.
