#TRISolidariosXValencia: More than 200 solidarity bibs for those affected by DANA
The triathlon community has once again demonstrated its commitment and solidarity with an action that has made a difference.
On November 28, the initiative #TRISolidariosXValenciaOrganized by the Spanish Federation of Triathlon (FETRI) in collaboration with the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community and other regional federations, managed to raise 2.705 euros which will be entirely allocated to those affected by the DANA in the province of Valencia.
The main action consisted of a 50-kilometre charity training session, carried out from the CAR in Madrid with professional and Paralympic triathletes who pedalled on rollers while the event was broadcast live on Instagram.
This initiative included the participation of the High Performance centres of Murcia, Cáceres and Soria, who also joined in the live broadcast to show their support.
Among the personalities who participated in this event were:
- Vanessa Huesa, president of the Valencian Triathlon Federation.
- Kini Carrasco, responsible for Paralympic promises.
- Alicia García and Iñaki Arenal, general secretary and technical director of the FETRI,
These funds will help mitigate the losses suffered by the 10 triathlon clubs affected in the province of Valencia, whose damages to sports equipment, facilities and transport exceed 150.000 euros.
In addition, the participation of more athletes in outdoor training, sharing their charitable actions on social media, amplified the impact of this initiative.
