TRITON 3 Portimão closes the 2023 season with resounding success and announces its arrival in Brazil 

This weekend, the city of Portimão, in the Algarve region of Portugal, was the scene of the exciting close of the 2023 season of the TRITON World Series.  

The event, which had the participation of athletes from 18 countries, has been consolidated compared to the previous season, doubling the number of participants. 

The TRITON 3 Portimão is distinguished by its unique format, where Each triathlon discipline is held on a different day. 

This system, known as Mix & Match, It allows athletes to choose between different distances for each discipline, thus offering greater flexibility and allowing specialists in each area to give their best.

1st day Swimming 

In the swimming discipline, which took place on Friday, October 27, Carmen Mueller from Switzerland took the victory in the Long category with a time of 57min58sec.  

In the men's Long category, Gustavo Hachmeister from Portugal led with a time of 39min23sec.

 2nd day Cycling 

On Saturday the 28th, the streets of Portimão were filled with cyclists. In the Women's Long category, Francielle Belo from Portugal took the victory with a time of 2h30min29sec.  

In the male category, Fabio Morais also from Portugal, led with a time of 2h12min59sec.

Upcoming events 

The TRITON World Series announced its international expansion, starting in Brazil in April 2024.  

The event will take place in Salvador, marking the first time that the TRITON is held outside of Europe.
