Georgia Taylor-Brown wins in the Triathlon World Series in Cagliari 2023

Today the third meeting of the 2023 Triathlon World Series in the city of Cagliari, Italy, where the victory has been for the British Georgia Taylor-Brown.

In the women's event, prominent athletes such as the American  Gwen Jorgensen, who returns to the series after a six-year hiatus or the world champion Katie Zafferes.

The test has been disputed under the Olympic distance (1500 m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).

In the female category, victory has been for Taylor-Brown with a time of 1:46:43, followed by the American Taylor Spivey (1:47:36) and the French Cassandre Beaugrand (1:47:44) occupying third place on the podium.

Georgia has returned to the podium after its second place finish at last year's Grand Final in Abu Dhabi.

Katie Zaferes finished in 11th place and Jorgensen retired in the cycling segment.

Spanish presence in the competition

In this edition there were two Spanish triathletes. Miriam Casillas finished in 18th place with a time of 1:49:50, while Marta Pintanel finished in 32nd position with a time of 1:53:20.
