TOURISM AND SPORTS, This is a weekend in Tri Portocolom

El Portocolom Triathlon, scheduled for April 14, 2024, will compete in its 26th edition.

This event is known for being one of the most emblematic triathlons in the Balearic Islands, which attracts athletes from all over the world and even figures such as Mario Mola, test ambassador.

Two distances to choose

The Portocolom Triathlon offers two distances: 55.5 and 111.

The 55.5 distance includes a 500-meter swim, a 50-km bike ride, and a 5-km run.

For its part, distance 111 doubles these efforts with 1 km of swimming, 100 km of cycling and 10 km of running.

Circuits

Portocolom's circuits are meticulously designed to challenge yet delight athletes with the natural beauty of the region.

Each segment of the triathlon in Portocolom promises an unforgettable experience, both for competitors and spectators.

Swimming

The swimming test takes place in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, an idyllic setting that offers a unique swimming experience.

For the distance 55.5 it will be 500 meters and for the 111 it will be 1.000 meters.

Cycling

Spanning 50km for distance 55.5 and 100km for distance 111, riders will ride varied terrain offering both technical challenges and spectacular views.

The tour is designed to take cyclists through some of the island's most picturesque landscapes, such as the climb to San Salvador. In addition, they will be filmed along steep coasts, rural fields and small towns full of charm.

Foot Race

The running race, with distances of 5 km for distance 55.5 and 10 km for distance 111, offers athletes the opportunity to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Portocolom up close.

The circuit is designed so that runners pass through some of the most emblematic places in the city, reaching its famous lighthouse.
