Less than 200 numbers for IRONMAN 70.3 Portugal
El IRONMAN 70.3 Portugal-Cascais, which will be held on October 19, 2024, is presented as one of the most anticipated events on the European triathletic calendar.
With only 200 bibs remaining, Triathletes have one last opportunity to ensure their participation in one of the most popular events on the European middle distance circuit.
Portugal, with its mild climate and 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, is an ideal destination for both athletes and their families.
Specifically, Cascais, the city where the event is held, offers a perfect environment with its spectacular bay, being the perfect setting for a triathlon.
Circuits
The 1.9 km swim will take place in the protected Cascais Bay, starting from Ribeira Beach. From the beach, triathletes will run 250 meters on a red carpet to the transition area located on the Citadel Platform.
The 90 km cycling circuit is just one lap away and offers stunning views of the Portuguese Riviera, Guincho Beach and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
Athletes will enjoy a route that will pass through the Estoril Formula 1 circuit. From there, the road leads to Lisbon, passing monuments such as the Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery, before returning to Cascais.
The running segment consists of two laps that begin and end in Cascais. This route follows the road from Guincho to Cabo Raso and returns to the heart of the city, where there will be the support of spectators, especially in the Cascais Marina.
