One week after its celebration, the great national popular triathlon event already has more than 2.300 participants. It will be held on Saturday, June 29 at the Casa de Campo in Madrid.
With the motto “Do it for you” the test wants to invite all those athletes who consider the challenge of doing a triathlon to participate and whose preparation helps them to activate themselves training and lead a healthy life.
The competitive program includes several distances for all types of athletes; Super Sprint (350 meters swimming, 7,7 kilometers pedaling and 2 kilometers running), Sprint (750m – 20km – 5km) and standard (1500m – 40km -10km), and you can participate individually or in relays.
Additionally, this year we launched the test “Women's Triathlon”, a Super Sprint distance test aimed exclusively at the female public.
The Sprint and Standard individual competition also counts towards the national ranking. FETRI, which awards prizes to the best national triathletes, so the sporting level of the competition is very broad, although the bulk of the participants are amateur athletes.
School Triathlon
On Saturday afternoon, the School Triathlon Circuit tests will be held, where more than 400 triathletes from Madrid schools and non-federated children who want to try triathlon are already registered.
The competition is open to boys and girls from 6 to 17 years old who will swim, pedal and run through the green lung of Madrid.
With no limit on places, it is expected to close registrations with 800 little triathletes.
Team Time Trial Triathlon
In addition, on Sunday, June 30, the Madrid Team Time Trial Triathlon Championship will take place at the same venue, a scoring event for the Madrid club ranking, as a closing for this great triathlon weekend in which more than 3000 are expected. athletes competing.
