The Kenyan athlete of 17 years Angela Ndungwa Munguti has been suspended for four years after giving positive for norandrosterone in a doping control, the Athletics Integrity Unit announced on Wednesday

As reported by sports worldMunguti 800 meter runner with a personal brand of 2: 06.21, has been suspended with effect since last October's 7 and its results canceled since that date, although the resolution is actionable, as required by the Unit bulletin.

Munguti's positive brings back to the present a recent report by the German television channel ZDF in which the alleged complicity of the Kenyan Athletics Federation in the doping of some of its athletes was investigated.

43 sanctioned athletes

 Munguti is the youngest athlete in an extensive list of Kenyan runners who have been sanctioned in 2019 and which seems to have no end.

In total, there are already 43 athletes who have been 'hunted', among them the 2016 Olympic marathon champion Jemima Sumgong and the three-time world winner of 1.500 Asbel Kiprop.
