Uxio Abuin wins in the European Cup in Madrid. Emilio Aguayo third.

A great day for the Spanish triathlon where the Spaniards have got 4 seats in the TOP 10

 

 

The event was disputed on Olympic distance, 1,5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling 10 km of running on foot.

After the swim, which came out very close, two groups were formed in the head that joined in the absence of 6 laps where almost all the Spaniards were. Leo Bergere, thanks to a strong pace, arrived alone at the T2 with almost a minute of advantage over his pursuers.

The persecuting group formed by Uxio Abuin, Cérsar Saracho and Raphael, quickly approached until reaching Bergere, until finally Uxio Abuin and the Mexican Cesar Saracho were left alone at the head of the race, they went together until the end where they played a tight sprint where the Spanish was imposed Uxio Abuin with a final time of 1: 55: 40, followed by César Saracho (1: 55: 43) and of  Emilio Aguayo (1:56:02) who made a great comeback in the foot race that served him to finish the test in third final position. Nan Oliveras I finish in a great fifth position, and Genis Grau It was tenth.

Ricardo Hernández it was 13ª, Pablo Dapena 14ª, Diego Paz 23ª, Aleix Domenech 31º, Kevin Viñuela 35º, Antonio Benito 37º,  Jools Beardon 40º, Raúl Manso 44º, Guillermo Chuchillo 49º,  Oscar De Nicolas 52o. Antonio Serrat, Fernando López y Lucas Mola they did not finish the test
