Valencia will host the Triathlon World Cup for the first time in its history.

This competition will be the last on the calendar of the International Triathlon Federation

The test, organized by the Valencian Community Triathlon Federation and the Spanish Triathlon Federation, has the support of the Valencia City Council, the Valencian Government, the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the Valencia Provincial Council.

This competition It will be the last of the calendar of the International Triathlon Federation, and we can enjoy the best triathletes on the international scene.

Among them we will have the presence within the male athletes of Vicent Luis, current World Champion. In addition, he will also come to Valencia to play this World Cup, Alistair Brownlee.

Regarding national participation we will have on the starting line Ivan Raña, one of the forerunners of triathlon in our country and who was an Olympic in Sydney, Athens and Beijing, obtaining an Olympic diploma in 2000 and 2008.

Along with him there will be a large group of Spanish triathletes, among which will be the Valencian Roberto Sánchez Mantecón, who was proclaimed world champion under 23 last year.

In women, the Bermuda triathlete will be present, Flora Duffy, who was world champion in 2016.

Regarding national participation, a large number of Spanish triathletes will be on the starting line of the competition, highlighting the participation of Valencian triathletes Noelia Juan y Sonya Ruiz.

The sprint distance competition

The competition will be held in Sprint distance, where they will have to complete 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running.

All tours will focus on the magnificent surroundings of the Marina de València, which one more year will become the nerve center of international triathlon.

Autonomous Sprint Triathlon Championship

In the surroundings of the World Cup, the Autonomous Sprint Triathlon Championship will be held, which will be held in the morning and as a starter to the main course, which will be held in the afternoon.

The regional test has a total of 300 participants, where the best triathletes in the community will fight for the regional title in an incomparable setting.

The event will have important security and prevention measures due to the health situation in which we find ourselves.

The test will be held on a stage completely closed to the public, so we encourage all fans to follow the competitions through the different live broadcasts.
