Valladolid is filled with triathletes another year

Ana Burgos y Ramón Ejeda they leave as main favorites in the XVI City of Valladolid Triathlon, according to the organizers assured during the presentation of a test to be held today Sunday and that will have some 350 triathletes.

 

 

This edition is once again organized by the Pisuerga Triathlon Club in collaboration with the City Council of Valladolid and, once again, the non-federated athletes can rub elbows and compete with elite triathletes.

Participants must face the three segments of which the test is composed, the first of which is swimming (750 meters), to then travel twenty kilometers by bicycle and, finally, five kilometers of running on foot through the central streets of Valladolid .

The arrival of the first triathletes is planned around the 14,00 hours at a the finish line that will be installed on the Isabel la Católica promenade.

Madrid's Ramón Ejeda and Ana Burgos are the main candidates for the final triumph, since in the case of the men's event, the winner of last year will not be able to participate, Fernando Alarza.
 

The test, which will have 22.000 euros budget, will present an exceptional circuit "both from the technical and tourism point of view," as stated during the presentation by the Councilor for Finance, Public Function and Sports, Alfredo Blanco.

"There is a lot of people coming from outside Valladolid and that means that the economy of the city is dynamic during these days," said the councilor, who recalled that the city has hosted "very important" tests of this sport, such as the championship of Spain in the 2010 year.
