They almost snatched the title from the Ironman of Florida to Víctor del Corral for using a helmet supposedly not homologated

Only 24 hours after that  Víctor del Corral will win the Florida Ironman With a mark of 7:53:12 the organization contacted him, to warn him of a possible disqualification for violating the CPSC standard ( Commission for the Safety of Consumer Products of the United States) of the helmet that I use in the cycling segment.

According to the regulations "The use of a helmet is mandatory. Only hard shell hulls tested without alteration are allowed. The helmet must have a certificate of examination of the following standards: CPSC, SNELL or ANSI (USA), KOVFS (Sweden), GS (TÜV-Rheinland, Germany) or the EN 1078 standard of the European Union".

The brand EKOI has shown compliance with the regulations of its CXR13 helmet, model that I use in the cycling sector, since the validation process is underway.

From the organization of Florida Ironman Víctor has recently been notified the dismissal of the process, since having allowed the check in, not having submitted any resource within the established time and not having obtained any advantage for the use of it, the sanction is not applicable.
