Volcano Triathlon 2025: compete in the longest-running event on the national calendar
The edition number 40 of Volcano Triathlon It will take place on May 3, 2025, at the Club La Santa, located in Lanzarote.
Since 1984, this emblematic competition has attracted national and international triathletes, becoming a key event in the calendar national sports.
A race with history
Founded in 1984, the Volcano Triathlon is known for being the oldest triathlon event in Spain. Over these four decades, it has brought together thousands of athletes, including numerous world champions and renowned international sports figures.
An Olympic distance course
The triathlon will be held in Olympic format, consisting of a 1,5 km swim in the Club La Santa lagoon, a 40 km cycle along the roads of Lanzarote, and a 10 km run finishing at the host stadium.
- Swimming: 1,5 km in the Club La Santa lagoon, with an average water temperature of 19,5°C. The use of wetsuits is permitted.
- Cycling: A demanding 40km route without drafting, passing through Caleta de Caballo, Soo and Caleta de Famara, before returning along the same route.
- Race on foot: Two 5km laps, starting and finishing at the La Santa Club stadium.
