Zuriñe among the favorites in the Triathlon World Cup

This weekend the Triathlon World Cup will be held in the Canadian town of Edmonton. Test that is part of the second scoring period of 2011 for the world ranking and that gives access to triathletes to participate in the 2012 Olympic Games.

Among the favorites in the female category, we will have the presence of the Spanish Zuriñe Rodríguez who already made an excellent performance in the last round of the World Series, held in the Austrian town of Kitbüehel, achieving thirteenth position. Zuriñe will once again compete this weekend together with the current leader of the Series Ranking, Paula Findlay, who also won the last edition of the Edmonton World Cup in 2007.

Accompanying Zuriñe and representing the Spanish Triathlon Team we will have Jose Miguel Pérez and Ramón Ejeda in the Men's category. Both triathletes achieved first and second place on the podium last May in the Pan American Triathlon Cup held in the Colombian town of Guatape. This time they will face Canadian and double-time Olympic medalist Simon Whitfield, who already won this test in 2002 and 2003, among other test favorites.

The women's start will be at 05.30:07.45 and the men's at XNUMX:XNUMX, Spanish time
