A thousand triathletes will compete in A Coruña this weekend.

This weekend the city of A Coruna will host the 2025 Spanish Triathlon Championship, where near a thousand triathletes from all over the country will take part in the different segments of the main event at Olympic distance.

The competition will take place in Marina Parrote, the promenade and the already mythical Maria Pita Square, where the finish line will be located. A unique setting that will once again offer spectacular images of the sport and the city.

Elite events, live on TeleDeporte

On Saturday 31st the elite events will be held in the afternoon and broadcast live on TeleDeporte and RTVE Play.

The women's category will start at 17: 30 pm, while the male will do so at 19: 45 pmIt will be a chance to see some of the best triathletes on the national scene in action.

In the female category, the presence of Sara Guerrero, current champion, along with names like Noelia Juan, Marta Pintanel, Maria Casals, Maite Jiménez-Orta y Cecilia Santamaría.

In the men's elite, Pelayo Gonzalez will defend the title won in 2024. They will also be at the start Kevin Tarek Viñuela, Genís Grau, Stephen Basanta, Vicente Hernández, nacho galvez y Andres Prieto, among others.

The 300 Challenge once again rewards consistency

A Coruña will also host the second stop of the Challenge 300: 3 segments, one goal, a challenge that rewards triathletes with the best combined performance in swimming, cycling, and running.

The scoring system assigns points to the top ten in each segment and distributes 300 Euros to the final winners.

Pho3nix Kids Triathlon and national youth team

A new stop on the circuit will be held on Saturday morning. Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series by Javier Gómez Noya, with tests adapted for the categories Pre-Benjamin, Benjamin, Alevín, Infantil and Cadet, in aquathlon format. The races will begin at 11: 00 pm.

Saturday will kick off with the youth events (15:30 p.m. for women, 16:15 p.m. for men), followed by the elite events.

On Sunday, June 1st, it will be the turn of the Age groups From the 8: 30 pm, and then the junior triathletes will compete (12:30 p.m. for women, 13:15 p.m. for men).
