Alex Yee will compete in the UK 10.000m Championships
The British triathlete remains focused on athletics after his strong performance at the London Marathon.

Alex Yee has made an important decision for his/her calendar of 2025. After his outstanding participation in the London marathon, where the chrono stopped 2h11' at a pace of 3'06''/km, The Olympic and world champion will continue to prioritize running.
Now, there is confirmed his presence in the UK 10.000m Championships which will be held on June 14 at the University of Birmingham.
A demanding minimum that more than meets expectations
To participate in this prestigious test, it is necessary prove a time of less than 28'45'' in the 10.000 meters.
Alex Yee Not only does he meet this condition, but in 2018, when he was barely 19 years old, he achieved a spectacular time of 27'51”, rolling at a pace of 2'47''/km.
With his recent marathon form, there are high expectations for his performance, where he could even approach 27:30.
The triathlon is on hold for now
This decision means that Alex Yee will maintain its exclusive focus on athletics at least until mid-year.
The Briton has already confirmed that will not be present at the upcoming World Triathlon Series events, including Yokohama and almost certainly not Alghero at the end of May. If he does return to triathlon, it would be starting in July at the Hamburg event.
This competitive break in triathlon does not worry those around it, since the Olympic qualification is still far away and the season of the WTCS is still long.
