FETRI 2026 Calendar: Dates for the Spanish Championships
The Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) has published the final update of the calendar national competition schedule for the 2026 season, with final adjustments to the duathlon events and confirmation of new dates for international events to be held in Spain.
Following logistical changes requested by one of the season's venues, FETRI has reorganized several duathlon events and confirmed the rest of the calendar, which will once again bring together the best national and international triathletes in a year packed with competitions across the country.
Individual Duathlon and Triathlon Championships
El Spanish Duathlon Championship will be held in Cáceres on February 28 and March 1, while the nationals of Cadet, Youth and Junior Duathlon will take place in Avilés el 28 and 29 March.
The season will start with the Spain Middle Distance Duathlon Championship el February 15 in Huesca, and the qualifiers will be held in Eagles (February 1) y Soria (February 8).
In the field of triathlon, the Spanish Triathlon Championship will be held in Mérida on August 22 and 23, while the categories Cadet, Youth and Junior will compete in A Coruna el 20 21 and JuneThe qualifiers for the nationals will be held in Fuente Álamo (May 2) y Almazán (July 4).
The Spanish School and Regional Triathlon Championship will be held in Tudela day 27 28 and June.
Medium and Long Distance
The national medals of Half Distance Triathlon y Aquabike will be put into play in Pamplona on May 23. As for the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship, FETRI will confirm its location and date in mid-November.
El Winter Triathlon will open the season on February 1st in Reinosa, while the championships of Duathlon and Gravel Triathlon will be held in Vinuesa on June 6.
Calahorra will repeat as the venue for the nationals of Cros Triathlon, Cros Duathlon and Aquathlon el 25 & 26 of July, and Mogán (Gran Canaria) will be the scene of Spanish SwimRun Championship el September 5.
Duathlon Leagues 2026
La National League of Duathlon Clubs will seven days spread over three weekends, starting in La Nucía day 7 and 8 March with the nationals of SuperSprint Duathlon for Clubs and Mixed RelaysThe competition will continue in Ciudad Real el 21 and 22 March with the Spanish Championships CRE and Relays, and will end in Albacete el 11 y 12 de abril with the championships of Club Duathlon and Couples Relay.
2026 Triathlon Leagues
The triathlon season will start with a bang on And May 9 10 en Águilas, headquarters of the Iberdrola Triathlon King and Queen Cup and the Spanish Relay Championship.
will follow Roquetas de Mar el And May 30 31 with the nationals of Club Triathlon and Couples Relay, and the closing of the leagues will be held in Arenales del Sol (Elche) day 12 and September 13, with the championships of Club SuperSprint Triathlon, Mixed Relays, and 2x2 SuperSprint.
International competitions in Spain
Spain will once again be the epicenter of European and international triathlon in 2026. The season will include the Triathlon World Championship Grand FinalTo be held in Pontevedra from September 24 to 27; the Triathlon European Championship en Tarragona (June 13-14); and the Banyoles Multisport European Championship of the 11 to 19 July. Also Melilla will host the European Youth Championship day 17 and October 18.
The following will also be held: European Cups of Triathlon en Ceuta (October 4) y Tenerife (October 11), consolidating the international calendar in Spanish territory.
