The 2025 National SuperSprint changes date
Los Spanish SuperSprint and Mixed Relay Triathlon Championships, which were scheduled to take place in early June in Torremolinos, have been rescheduled and will finally be played on Saturday 6 and 7 Sunday 2025 September.
A necessary relocation
The change is due to a coincidence in dates with the 10th anniversary of Torremolinos Pride, a massive event that mobilizes thousands of attendees and that, according to the announcement made by the Torremolinos Town Hall, will have a significant impact on city services, especially in logistics and accommodation issues.
Coordination between institutions
La Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI), in coordination with the sports committee and the local council, has made the decision after evaluating all possible alternatives. The priority has been ensure the safety of athletes and ensure an optimal experience for participants, companions, and the public.
According to FETRI, "all possible scenarios were considered in advance," and ultimately, it was decided to move the event to September "to avoid two high-attendance events coinciding on the same weekend."
Same place, new dates
Although the date changes, Torremolinos will continue to be the official home of the 2025 Spanish SuperSprint Championship., keeping its place in the calendar as one of the most dynamic and explosive events on the national scene.
