Club La Santa presents the 2025 Lanzarote Cycling Tour with record participation

Less than two weeks before it begins, the Lanzarote Cycling Tour 2025 It's now a reality. Club La Santa officially presented the second edition of the cycling event at the island's Council, in an event that brought together political representatives from the island's seven municipalities.
The event, which will be held on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, promises to far exceed last year's success.
Growth in record time
The first edition brought together more than 500 cyclists, both professionals and amateurs. This year, the number has already exceeded 600. 25 different nationalities, a leap that confirms the growing interest in a route that crosses the seven municipalities: Yaiza, Tinajo, Teguise, Haría, San Bartolomé, Arrecife and Tías.
An island benchmark in sport
The Councilor for Sports of the Lanzarote Island Council, Juan Monzón, highlighted the island's role as a sports destination: "We must promote and attract that tourism, because we are a global benchmark."
The event, organized by Club Santa, thus joining the long list of international events that consolidate Lanzarote as the epicenter of the sport.
Local voices that add up
Representatives from various municipalities also spoke to highlight the importance of the event.
- Alexis Hernandez, Sports Councillor of San Bartolomé, praised “the great participation and the atmosphere experienced in the last edition.”
- Alejandro Ramírez, councillor of Teguise, highlighted the “love of cycling” that this event exudes.
- Ishmael Cruz, from Tías, congratulated Club La Santa for consolidating another reference event.
- Eli Merino, from Arrecife, highlighted the excellent organization of the first edition and the forecast for an even smoother development in 2025.
Institutional support and international projection
The director of Club La Santa Races, Fabio Cabrera, closed the presentation by confirming that participation has grown by more than 10% compared to 2024.
"We have the support of the island's seven municipalities, the Canary Islands Government, Promotur, and the Lanzarote Island Council itself. All of this allows us to take another step forward in the event's international reach."
