Club La Santa Volcano Triathlon 2026: Countdown to the 42nd edition of Spain's longest-running triathlon

The Club La Santa Volcano Triathlon 2026 will take place on April 25th in Lanzarote and will once again bring together triathletes of all levels in one of the most historic events on the Spanish calendar.


The 42nd edition of the Volcano Triathlon is now entering its final stretch

With just over a month to go before its celebration, the La Santa Volcano Triathlon Club It's now entering its final stretch. The race will reach its Edition 42 the next Saturday, April 25 with start and finish in Club Santa, in Lanzarote, remaining one of the most recognizable events in the national triathlon and the oldest international race in Spain according to the organization itself.

The event will once again be held on Olympic distance, with 1,5 kilometers of swimming, 40 kilometers of cycling, and 10 kilometers of running.

This format makes it an attractive event for both experienced athletes and those seeking a serious challenge in an environment closely linked to the history of European triathlon.

Route starting and finishing at Club La Santa

The competition will kick off in the saltwater lagoon of Club La Santa And from there, it will propose a very recognizable route on the island.

The cycling segment will take participants through areas such as Caleta de Caballo, Soo, Caleta de Famara and Teguise, before tackling the final footrace to the finish line.

The entire event will once again revolve around the facilities of Club La Santa, which will serve as the central hub for the race. The organizer also highlights the proximity of the accommodation, start, and finish lines as one of the event's distinguishing features.

A competitive test before IRONMAN Lanzarote

One of the interesting aspects of this edition is its fit within the Lanzarote calendar.
