La Ceuta Triathlon European Cup 2025 arrives this weekend with the participation of athletes from 20 countries, consolidating the city as one of the great stages of the calendar internationally.
The Elite tests will be held on Sunday October 5, while on Saturday it will be the turn of Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series by Javier Gómez Noya, and on Sunday morning the XXXI City of Ceuta Triathlon, counting towards the National Ranking.
Official presentation and institutional support
The presentation ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Government of Ceuta with the presence of the Minister Nicola Cecchi, the competition director of the FETRI Jorge Garcia, the president of the Ceutí Federation Jorge Ruiz, and the Director General of Sports Sergio Aguilera.
All agreed on the event's positive impact on the city and its growing importance on the continent.
European Cup circuit and schedule
The route will once again have as main stages the La Ribera beach’s most emblematic landmarks, the Mayor Sánchez Prados Promenade as a nerve center for transitions and a goal, and the Royal Walls, which will be part of the foot race.
- Female Elite: Sunday, October 5th at 11:30 a.m.
- Male Elite: Sunday, October 5th at 13:30 a.m.
Both races can be followed live through Teledeporte and RTVE Play.
Favorites and countries represented
Among the prominent names are the German Pretend Schierl and Spanish Kevin Tarek Viñuela, which are the main references.
In addition, there will be triathletes from Afghanistan, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Finland, Great Britain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, and the United States, as well as Spain.
National competition and grassroots categories
Before the international tests, the XXXI City of Ceuta Triathlon, leaving at 9:00 a.m., which will serve as Autonomic championship and National Ranking test.
For its part, on Saturday, October 4, from 13:00 p.m., the Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Series by Javier Gómez Noya It will allow the youngest to enjoy triathlon with distances adapted according to categories (benjamin, alevín, cadet and youth).
