Lanzarote Cycling Tour 2025: countdown to a unique event
The second edition will be held on October 4 and 5, touring the seven municipalities of the island.
Club Santa will once again bring together hundreds of national and international cyclists in a challenge full of landscapes, effort and community
Lanzarote is preparing to roar back on two wheels
In just ten weeks, the island will once again host the Lanzarote Cycling Tour, a race that in just one year has established itself as one of the major events on the national cycling calendar.
The days 4 and 5 October 2025, more than half a thousand cyclists will meet for an experience that combines sport, culture and nature like few others.
A tour that embraces the entire island
The event, organized by Club Santa, proposes a two-stage itinerary that adds more than 180 km and 3.000 meters of accumulated elevation gain, crossing the seven municipalities from the island: Arrecife, Haría, San Bartolomé, Teguise, Tías, Tinajo and Yaiza.
On their way, participants will cycle through some of the most iconic corners of Lanzarote, such as La Geria, Timanfaya National Park, Famara or Mirador del Río.
La first stage will be 115 km long and have a difference in altitude of 1.700 m, while the second It will be shorter, with 74 km and 1.000 m of ascent.
Anita González, Lourdes Oyarbide and Luis Pasamontes, among the ambassadors
This year, the peloton will feature the presence of prominent cycling figures such as Anita González, a national benchmark in ultra-distance events; Lourdes oyarbide, Spanish road race and time trial champion; and the former professional Luis Pasamontes, now dedicated to training athletes. All of them will ride side by side with the participants in a friendly and participatory environment.
Sport, tourism and community: a global experience
In addition to its sporting appeal, the event seeks to reinforce the role of Lanzarote as an international sports destination, with an inclusive and open format.
The event is part of the program “Cycling for All"On UCI, and has the support of the Canary Islands Government, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Tourism Lanzarote and the seven municipalities of the island.
There will supply areas, live music venues and local cuisine, and spectator areas, making this event a true sports festival.
Open registration and international atmosphere
With more than 25 nationalities represented in 2024, this second edition has reinforced its global character after its official presentation in Copenhagen, with international ambassadors Jesper Worren y Pernille Svarre.
