The Ecodumad Cross 2026 is postponed to November for safety reasons

The Ecodumad Cross 2026, scheduled for this Sunday, February 1st in San Agustín de Guadalix, has been postponed by the organizers due to the poor condition of the course following the recent rains and adverse weather forecasts.

The circuit Korona Madrid 2026 It was going to kick off this weekend with the 15th edition of Ecodumad Cross, One of the classic races on the Madrid cross duathlon calendar. However, KORONA Madrid has announced the postponement test after assessing the current state of the routes and the safety conditions.

According to the organization, the heavy rainfall has caused significant deterioration of the circuit, with particularly slippery areas, sections of excessively soft terrain, and accumulations of water that could compromise both the safety and health of the participants.

Added to this are new forecasts of rain in the coming days, which would prevent any improvement of the route's condition before Sunday.

The decision was made after holding talks with the Madrid Triathlon Federation, its judges, as well as with the San Agustín de Guadalix Town Hall and the security forces. The organizers emphasize that this is an exceptional measure, adopted for the first time in the event's more than 15-year history, motivated solely by security criteria.

The new date being considered is November 15 Sunday of 2026The date will be officially confirmed in the coming days. Once the final date is announced, all registered participants can either keep their registration—with the possibility of making adjustments to their teams closer to the event—or request a full refund.
