Pontevedra will host the Grand Final of the Triathlon World Series 2026, from September 23 to 27, consolidating itself as the international epicenter of triathlon.

Pontevedra will once again be the heart of world triathlon. Between the September 23 and 27, 2026, the Galician city will celebrate the World Triathlon Series (WTCS) Grand Final, an event that will bring together the best triathletes on the planet in search of the world title.
It will be the second time Pontevedra to host the grand finale after the success of 2023, reaffirming its status as one of the most prestigious destinations in the calendar internationally.
Organized by World triathlon, Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI)’s most emblematic landmarks, the Council of Pontevedra, Deputation and Xunta de Galicia, the event will become the most important sporting event of the year in Spain.
Open registration and discounts for Spanish triathletes
Since this month it is already possible to register for the World Triathlon Championship Finals Pontevedra 2026, both for professionals and age groups. Three categories will be contested: sprint, standard, and aquabike triathlon, with official routes already available.
The triathletes Spanish federated members will enjoy a 25% discount on registration fees, which vary depending on the time period. In addition, a special price is offered for those who register for two distances. Registration will be open until July 31, 2026, or until numbers run out.
A calendar full of emotions
The provisional program starts on Thursday September 24 with junior men's and women's events, as well as the age-group sprint triathlon.
