The Ribadeo Half Triathlon 2026 opens registration for September
The Ribadeo Half Triathlon will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 in the Ribadeo Estuary, as a qualifying event for the National Middle and Long Distance Ranking, with Half and Short modalities without drafting.
Ribadeo will host the next 5th September 2026 a new edition of the Ribadeo Half Triathlon, a nationwide test that opts for a format without drafting and a very recognizable natural environment in northern Galicia.
The competition will be held in the Ribadeo Estuary, natural border between Galicia and Asturias, and Registration opens on April 10th.
The event maintains its dual format Half and Short, with a limit of 600 participants between both modalities.
The Half distance will be counting towards the National Ranking of Middle and Long Distance Triathlon, which places the test within the calendar of interest to triathletes who compete at a national level.
Protected swimming in the Ribadeo Estuary
The segment of swimming It will take place entirely within the estuary, starting from the Block BeachThe route is designed on a polygon of 1.000 meters, with one lap in the Short and two laps in the Half.
As it is a protected area, swimming It will not be exposed to the waves of the Cantabrian Seaalthough the final design may be adapted depending on the tides, currents and weather conditions.
A challenging cycling route with no technical difficulties
The segment of Cycling runs by local roads with good asphalt and open landscape. The route will be of a lap on the Short (40 km) y two laps in the Half (81 km), passing through the town of Ribadeo and approaching the area of Locked.
It is a layout with demanding profile, But without major technical difficultiesdesigned to compete safely and maintain a constant pace.
Footrace along the sea and finish line in the center of Ribadeo
La Foot race It is contested on a circuit of 10 kilometers per lap, with one lap on the Short and two on the HalfThe route passes through the port of Ribadeo and the road from the Lighthouse to the Pancha Island Lighthouse, on a round trip route along the estuary.

Program and cutting times
The activity will begin on Friday September 4 with the delivery of race numbers and the deposit of Bike. The Saturday September 5 Both races will be held, starting from Short at 9:00 and the Half at 9:30.
As for cutting timesThe organization sets a maximum of 60 minutes to complete the swim in the Half and a checkpoint at the kilometer 42,5 of the cycling segment, at the start of the second round.

The Registrations are open from April 10th and will continue until the quota of 600 participants is reached.
Prices vary depending on the section and whether you are a member of a sports federation or not, with rates starting at €150 for the Half and €70 for the Short in the initial period.
All participants who complete the test will receive medal finisherand will be delivered trophies for the top three finishers of the general, categories and teams in both modalities.
