El ICAN Triathlon 2025 enters its final phase of registrations with more than 83% of its quota covered, confirming once again its consolidation as one of the most attractive tests of the calendar national long distance.
With the celebration date scheduled for Saturday, October 18 in Gandía, the event will bring together triathletes from all over Spain in a unique setting.
Currently, they are already 1.250 Subscribers Of the 1.500 available, Short Distance is the only modality with a specific limit of 500 places. Of these, only 111 left available.
A test without drafting… and with record-breaking pace
One of the main attractions of the ICAN Triathlon is its format 100% no drafting, which sets it apart from many other national events, where slipstreaming is permitted. This rule applies to all distances, including the Short.
In addition, the cycling circuit is fast and flat, perfect for those looking to improve their time. Renowned names such as Carlos Aznar, Nacho Villarruel, Kristian Quintans, Gonzalo Fuentes o Roger Manya, the latter with the best historical record of the event (08:16:12 in 2024).
The commitment to the elite: PRO START is born
The 2025 edition includes a major new feature: the launch of the format PRO START for Full and Half Distance. This system allows elite triathletes to compete for cash prizes, €7.000 in Full and €3.500 in Half, distributed equally between male and female categories.
Triathletes must apply for inclusion by September 7, and the organization will review each application. PRO START registration has a reduced cost: €199 for Full and €119 for Half.

In the Full distance, athletes such as Guillermo Sanchidrián, Axel beci, Edgar Hidalgo, Jorge Garrote, Patricia Bueno, Rosa Boladeres o Liliana Verissimo.
In Half, names such as Pedro Javier Sabino, Hugo Ramos, Marta Bourbon Llorente, Cristina Roselló or the polish Alicja Ulatowska. Total, more than 30 PROs have already confirmed their presence, predicting an intense fight for the podium.
