The weekend of the 8 and 9 November, Marbella will become the world epicenter of triathlon with the celebration of the World championship HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3An event that will bring together the international elite and thousands of fans in a unique setting on the Costa del Sol.

The organizers have confirmed the official swimming, cycling, and running courses. Three segments that combine challenge, beauty, and the charm of Marbella as a destination.

Swimming in Puerto Banús: start from the sand

The first challenge will be the 1.900 meters of swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. The start will be from Puerto Banús beach, with a single lap and turns that will take the triathletes through a generally calm sea at this time of year.

An iconic setting that will allow spectators to enjoy a spectacular start.

Cycling with a climb to Ojén and 1.785 m of elevation gain

The cycling segment promises to be the great judge of the test. With 90 km and 1.785 meters of positive elevation gain, the route combines physical toughness with the beauty of the region.

The key point will be the ascent to the Puerto de Ojén, passing through the picturesque white village, before returning to Marbella via a fast, direct road. A circuit that will require intelligent energy management.

Foot race by the sea

The last 21,1 km The race will be held in two laps between Puerto Banús and Marbella. The route will be mainly flat and parallel to the sea, making it perfect for following the runners from different points along the promenade.
