Ditlev, Sanders and Long at IRONMAN 70.3 St. George

Next Saturday, the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 St. George will hold its Last edition with a starting grid worthy of a world championship.

This test, considered one of the most important in the North American circuit, will bring together three greats of triathlon: Magnus ditlev, Lionel Sanders y Sam long.

In the men's competition, a spectacular duel is expected. The Danish Magnus ditlev, recent winner of IRONMAN South Africa and third in the 70.3 World Championship in 2022, faces two half Ironman legends: the Canadian Lionel Sanders, winner at St. George in 2016, 2018 and 2021, and the American Sam long, current two-time champion (2023 and 2024).

The rivalry between Sanders and Long is well known to fans. Although Sam dominated head-to-head confrontations for years, Lionel He beat him last time in Oceanside 2024, winning by just over a minute.
