IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia 2025: More than 3.000 triathletes and almost 100 professionals

The next April 27, the capital of Turia will once again be the scene of one of the most anticipated tests of the calendar: The HOMBRE DE HIERRO® 70.3 Valencia.

An event that, in its second edition, has already sold out. six months before of the date. The event will bring together 3.000 participants, of which almost a hundred will be professional triathletes.

Agustí Pérez, Regional Director of The IRONMAN Group in Southern Europe, highlighted the impact of the event:

"This year, we surpassed the participation rate of 2024 and grew the number of foreign triathletes by 10%, reaching 66%. Valencia is strongly committed to triathlon and attracting quality sports tourism."

A renovated circuit to fly on the bike

The 2025 edition brings notable new features, such as a new cycling route, faster and with less gradient than in 2024. The route maintains emblematic points such as the Marina of Valencia and City of Arts and Sciences, where the finish area will be located.

The race will start at 7h30PM with the elite start from La Marina. From there, the triathletes will tackle the 1,9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and 21,1 km run in search of a unique experience... and, why not, a spot at the World Championships.

In the male category, names such as:

  • Clement Mignon (FRA), champion of the IRONMAN Nice 2023
  • Dylan magnien (FRA), podium at IRONMAN Calella 2024
  • Harry palmer (GBR), winner in Swansea

At the nationality level, 34% are Spanish, followed by British (17%), French (10%), Italian (8%) and German (4%).

Qualifying for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Marbella

Valencia will offer 60 slots for IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, which will be held for the first time in Spain, Specifically Marbella on November 8 and 9, 2025It will be a golden opportunity for many age-group triathletes to secure their dream spot.
