HOMBRE DE HIERRO has announced its calendar The professional 2026 season will feature 53 races and over six million dollars in prize money. Kona will once again host the World Championship in a combined format on October 10.


A global calendar with 53 events and two grand finals

IRONMAN has revealed its highly anticipated professional calendar for 2026, a season that will include 53 races worldwide, 16 of which will be part of the IRONMAN Pro Series, the benchmark circuit for elite triathletes.

The year will culminate with two top-level events: the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice (September 12 and 13) and the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona (October 10), which will again be contested in a joint format, men and women on the same day.

Start in March and a more balanced circuit

The season will kick off on March 7th with the IRONMAN New ZealandFollowed by IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong (March 22) y Oceanside (March 28), three classics for the start of the school year.

In April and May, the action will move to North America and Europe with events such as IRONMAN Texas (April 18) y IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence (May 17).

June's schedule will be especially busy, with the European Women's Championship in Hamburg (June 7)’s most emblematic landmarks, the IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley (June 14), Elsinore (June 21) and the Men's European Championship in Frankfurt (June 28).

Europe will once again take center stage.

After the Northern Hemisphere summer, Europe will take center stage with events such as Swansea (July 12), Lake Placid (July 19), Boise (July 25) y Kalmar (August 15), before closing the regular season in Zell am See-Kaprun (August 30).

These tests will grant 5.000 points in IRONMAN distances y 2.500 points at 70.3Under the motto “Every Second Matters”. The five best results will count towards the final ranking, with a maximum of three completed Ironman races.

More than six million dollars in prizes

The points system will culminate with the world championships in Nice and Kona, where the prizes will be awarded. 3.000 and 6.000 points respectively.

The Pro Series champions —men's and women's— will receive $ 200.000 each, while the top 50 will share a total bonus of 1,7 million.

The 2026 season will incorporate five new venues added to the Pro Series circuit: New Zealand, Kalmar, Pennsylvania, Boise and Elsinoreexpanding global presence and offering new scoring opportunities.
