Blummenfelt completes his list of achievements with the IRONMAN Pro Series
The Norwegian Kristian Blummenfelt He further cemented his legendary status by becoming champion of the IRONMAN Pro Series 2025, a victory that was decided in the final race of calendar celebrated in Marbella (Spain).
The Olympic and world championship triathlete totaled 21.200 pointsreplacing its lowest score of the year with the 2.997 points obtained in the Andalusian test, which secured him the overall title of the circuit.
The final podium was completed by his compatriots Casper Stornes (second, 20.870 pts) and Kristian Høgenhaug (third, 19.984 pts), sealing a new Nordic dominance in the men's ranking.
A season of consistency and great victories
Blummenfelt arrived in Marbella with three outstanding victories during the season: IRONMAN Texas, IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence and the IRONMAN Frankfurt, all of them with solid performances that earned them top scores in the Pro Series system.
His third place in the Nice IRONMAN World Championship, with 5.703 points, maintained his lead before the final meeting.
Despite a difficult start to the year in Oceanside — where a puncture relegated him to 15th place — his consistency throughout the season was crucial in winning the title.
Marbella, the setting for the closing ceremony and the excitement
The Belgian was the main protagonist of the last race of the season. Jelle Geens, who managed to retain his world title of IRONMAN 70.3 after beating Blummenfelt in a final sprint by just three seconds, the second closest margin in the event's history.
Geens completed his race in 3h37:41, while Blummenfelt crossed the finish line in 3h37:44, followed by Casper Stornes, third at exactly one minute.
Despite not winning the race, the result was enough for the Norwegian to secure the championship and earn the points needed to be crowned champion of the IRONMAN Pro Series 2025.

Following the success of its second edition, the franchise announced that the IRONMAN Pro Series 2026, will begin in March in the IRONMAN New Zealand and will conclude in October in the Kona World Championship (Hawaii).
The continuity of the format with cumulative scores and million-dollar prizes consolidates the series as the biggest international showcase for professional long-distance triathlon.
