The president of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, José Hidalgo, has been unanimously elected as new vice president of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE).
The decision was made on May 27, 2025, with the joint support of all the country's Olympic federations, thus consolidating its role as a key figure in Spanish sport.

Born in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz), Hidalgo, 60 years old, becomes the first president of the FETRI to achieve a vice presidency in the history of the COE.
