Marisol Casado ends 16 years at the helm of World Triathlon

April 21 marked the end of a historic era for world triathlon.

Marisol Married, the only female president of an Olympic international federation so far, concluded her term after 16 years at the helm. World triathlon, leaving behind a legacy that has transformed sport at all levels.

Prominent presence in the International Olympic Committee

But his influence is not limited to triathlon. Married has been a key figure within the International Olympic Committee (IOC), where he has served on six committees, always advocating for the development of sport with a global and equitable vision.

His new stage as Honorary Member of the IOC, a title recently awarded, will allow her to remain linked to the Olympic movement, contributing her experience and leadership.

The new president of World Triathlon, Antonio F. Arimany, expressed his appreciation:
