MTRI Alicante 2025 reaches record number of registrants, closes registration

The inaugural event of the circuit Mediterranean Triathlon (MTRI) 2025 in Alicante is already warming up with record numbers.

With about 1.100 confirmed participantsMTRI Alicante will have the largest turnout in its history, consolidating the growing interest in triathlon in the Valencian Community.

Registration closes on Sunday, May 11.

Registration will remain open until next Sunday at 23:59 p.m. on the official website, and everything indicates that the current number will be far exceeded.

This record participation reflects the rise of popular triathlon in the region and the appeal of the Mediterranean Triathlon format.

Format changes and new goal space

The event will begin on Friday, May 16th with the collection of bib numbers from 16:00 p.m. in the new finish and post-finish area, located in the emblematic Ramiro Walk, in the heart of the city, next to the sea.

This change is due to the coincidence with the Bonfires of San Juan celebrations in the Town Hall Square, but it has been enthusiastically received, offering direct views of the beach and the transition box, as well as a larger plaza for the public and their companions.

Participation by days and distances

MTRI Valencia: imminent rate change

The event at Malvarrosa Beach will maintain its usual festive atmosphere, with an expo area, food trucks, and a live DJ.
