Laura Gomez and Fernando Zorrilla lead the National Ranking FETRI of the 2025 Middle and Long Distance Triathlon, which will be decided at the events in Ibiza and HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Marbella.


FETRI MD and LD Ranking: Gómez and Zorrilla in the lead

The FETRI National Ranking of Medium and Long Distance Triathlon reaches its final stretch with Laura Gomez y Fernando Zorrilla as provisional leaders before the last two scoring events of the calendar: The Spanish MD Triathlon Championship in Ibiza, on November 2, and the VINFAST IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella World Championship, on November 8 and 9.

Both events, which have the highest scoring level, will be decisive in determining the national title for the 2025 season in a classification that has had a particularly close year, with a strong presence of Spanish athletes in both national and international competitions.

Laura Gómez, firmly at the top of the women's standings

The Catalan triathlete Laura Gomez maintains the first place in the women's ranking with 4500 points, followed by Judith Corachán (4139) and Sofia Aguayo (3777). Completing the top 5 Chloe Nicholas y steffie lebenezic, both with a very regular season in the middle distance.

Gómez has been one of the year's key figures, combining outstanding performances in FETRI circuit events with solid results in international competitions.

His victory in the TriXilxes #sindrafting and his consistency in the first half of the season has allowed him to establish himself as the great national reference for 2025.

Fernando Zorrilla, a reference in the men's long distance

In the male category, Fernando Zorrilla leads with 4855 points, followed by Guillem Montiel (3850) and Diego Martin (3641). In fourth and fifth position are Pello Osoro y Diego Mentrida, two regulars on the national middle-distance podiums.

Zorrilla, Spanish Long Distance Champion in the Mediterranean EPIC Triathlon, has shown a very solid season, also standing out in the IRONMAN Lanzarote and in other events on the FETRI calendar. His consistency has kept him at the forefront since the beginning of the year.

A full and highly contested calendar

Ibiza and Marbella will decide the national title

With the calendar coming to an end, the Spanish Triathlon MD Championship in Ibiza will distribute key points before the closing in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships Marbella, an event that will also bring together several of the best international triathletes. Both events will be crucial in determining the 2025 FETRI national champions.
