The 2025 national MD and LD ranking accelerates: 9 tests in May and June
After the start of the calendar and Infinitri 113 Peñíscola e HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 ValenciaThe 2025 National Middle and Long Distance Triathlon Ranking enters a decisive stretch: nine events will be held during May and June, offering valuable FETRIMDyLD points.
The Epic Triathlon, first championship with 2000 points
El epic triathlon In Oropesa del Mar will be the first major event with maximum points (2000 points) next May 24, where a scoring middle-distance race is also held.
This event will serve as the Spanish LD Triathlon Championship, and registration will remain open until May 14.
May, full of top-level tests
Before the Epic, three events with points are held 1500 points:
- IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca (May 10)
- Challenge Salou (May 11)
- Club Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote (May 17)
In addition, they will also score with 1000 points:
- triXilxes #sindrafting (May 11)
- Epic Triathlon MD (May 24)
- KOS Xtreme Triathlon La Palma (May 31), registration is open until May 20.
June: Three new opportunities to climb the rankings
The month of June includes three other scoring events:
- I saw Half Gasteiz (June 7) – 1000 points
- Zarauzko Triathlon (tradeINN) – point level not yet confirmed, but very influential
- Bilbao Triathlon (June 28) – 1000 points, with the first registration period valid until May 20.
On the road to the Spanish MD Championship and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship
After this spring-summer block, the ranking will continue its course towards two major events in the final stretch of the year:
- El Spanish MD Triathlon Championship in Ibiza (November 2th)
- El VINFAST IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Marbella (November 8 and 9)
These tests will be key to defining the ranking, which combines international franchise events (IRONMAN and Challenge) with national championships and independent tests under the umbrella of the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI).
