
On Sunday 13 July, the coastal city of Swansea in South Wales will host a round of the prestigious circuit for the first time. IRONMAN Pro Series.
It will be the twelfth event of the 2025 season, with a participation of almost 60 professional triathletes who will seek to add crucial ranking points, qualify for the 2026 World Cup in Nice, and win a share of the $50.000 USD prize.
Favorites for the title in the women's field
The women's race will feature some of the best triathletes on the circuit. The presence of Kat matthews (GBR), current runner-up in the Pro Series, who arrives after a brilliant start to the season with outstanding performances at IRONMAN Texas and Hamburg.
Its main rival will be the German Anne Reichmann, current leader of the ranking, thanks to his victory in South Africa.
Will also be Nikki Bartlett (GBR), champion of the previous edition and fifth place in the 2024 World Cup in Nice, along with other figures such as Daniela Cleiser (ALE), champion of IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia and known for her strong running segment, Hanne de vet (BEL), lizzie rayner (GBR) and a powerful British representation with Megan McDonald, Laura Addie y Lydia dant.
Expected duels between men
The British Harry palmer, the reigning champion in Swansea, will be in charge of wearing the number one shirt. But he won't have it easy: the Dane Magnus ditlev, recent IRONMAN Africa champion and multiple world podium finisher, arrives as one of the big favorites, despite having competed in Frankfurt the previous week.
They will also be on the starting line Leon chevalier (FRA), fourth in the 2024 World Cup, the veteran Cameron Wurf (AUS), as well as Sam Dickinson, Simon Viain, Kieran Lindars y Matthew Collins, who is coming off a strong performance at IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman.

A tour with a Welsh flavour
IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea will begin with a 1.9km swim at Prince of Wales Dock, followed by a 90km cycle along the Gower coast and Welsh countryside, and conclude with a 21.1km run on a two-lap circuit between the city centre, Swansea Arena and the waterfront.
In addition to professional participants, more than 2.500 triathletes will compete for coveted age-group spots at the 70.3 2026 World Championships in Nice.
