Gold Coast joins the T100 calendar from 2026

The organization of the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) has confirmed that the Gold Coast (Australia) will be one of the permanent headquarters of the T100 Triathlon World Tour as of March 2026.

This decision follows a long-term agreement with Events Management Queensland (EMQ), which will transform this iconic Australian city into a new key point on the international circuit.

A test that mixes elite and popular participation

The first event will be held on 21 and 22 March of 2026, and will bring together the world's best triathletes as well as thousands of amateur athletes.

The swimming segment for professionals will be held in the famous Surfer's Paradise Beach, while cycling and running will run along the city's coastline, including the oceanfront Esplanade.

In addition to the PRO event (100 km distance: 2 km swimming, 80 km cycling, 18 km running), a 10K popular, a sprint triathlon and club competition in collaboration with AusTriathlon, the governing body of triathlon in Australia.

Ashleigh Gentle will race at home

Among the most excited triathletes is the local Ashleigh Gentle, who was second in the T100 rankings in 2024. Residing on the Gold Coast, Gentle said that racing “at home and in front of my fans” will be a dream come true.

“Australia has been asking for a T100 stop for years, and doing it on the Gold Coast is simply perfect,” he said.

On the way to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games

The inclusion of the Gold Coast in the T100 Tour is part of a broader strategy to boost triathlon in Australia, particularly with an eye on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games. According to the CEO of PTO, Sam renouf, this region “ticks all the boxes” to host a world-class event.

Venue confirmed alongside major circuit cities

With this addition, the calendar The T100 reinforces its global character, with appointments already confirmed in Singapore, San Francisco, London, Lake Las Vegas, Vancouver, Dubai, and Qatar.
