Oropesa del Mar will host the Spain T100 Triathlon in September

La Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) has confirmed that Oropesa del Mar will be the new headquarters of Spain T100 Triathlon, the sixth stop on the international T100 circuit in 2025.
The event will be held on September 20, maintaining the same date initially planned for Valencia.
This announcement ensures that Spain remains part of the calendar officer of the T100 series, which brings together the Top 20 Male Triathletes or 20 best female triathletes of the world in the PTO distance (2 km swimming, 80 km cycling and 18 km running).
a new headquarters in the Valencian CommunityOropesa del Mar, located just 45 minutes from Valencia, has a long tradition of hosting major sporting events.
Its circuit and infrastructure have earned the trust of the PTO and the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) to be the stage for an event that will have both national and international repercussions.
El PTO CEO Sam Renouf, thanked the local institutions for their efforts:
"We are very pleased to maintain a T100 in Spain. The collaboration with Oropesa del Mar, FETRI, and the Generalitat Valenciana has made it possible for us to offer a world-class competition on the same scheduled date."
Institutional statements
La Sports Councilor of Oropesa del Mar, Sonia Bellés, highlighted the tourist importance of the event:
"This championship reinforces our commitment to sports tourism and once again makes Oropesa the venue for an international competition."
For its part, Marta Barrachina, president of the Castellón Provincial Council, pointed out that the province "is a unique setting, with an ideal climate and topography for triathlons, and hosting the T100 will boost Castellón's international presence."
El Director General of Sports of the Generalitat, Luis Cervera, stressed that this event consolidates the Valencian Community as a national and international benchmark for triathlon, while the president of the FETRI, José Hidalgo, reminded that Spain could not be left out of the calendar:
"Our country is a true triathlon destination and is a world leader in organizing major events. We are very grateful to the PTO for hosting this event in Spain."
The T100 continues to grow in 2025
The Spain T100 in Oropesa del Mar will be the sixth round of the season, after the appointments in Singapore, San Francisco, Vancouver and London, and of the imminent French Riviera T100.
The PTO thus fulfills its objective of offering a calendar of nine international events which brings together the world's elite of middle distance.
The arrival of the T100 in Spain will allow fans to experience a unique spectacle firsthand, featuring today's top specialists, including recent world champions and the biggest stars fighting for the circuit title.

The inclusion of Oropesa del Mar in the calendar strengthens Spain's position as one of the major powers in organizing international events.
After hosting the inaugural T100 in 2024, our country maintains its leading role in a circuit that shapes the present and future of professional triathlon.
