T100 San Francisco 2025 Starlist Released: Duel of Champions

The international T100 circuit arrives in the U.S. with a star-studded women's start list.

The next Saturday May 31, the circuit T100 Triathlon World Tour will celebrate its second stop of the season with a race that promises strong emotions.

The iconic test of Escape from Alcatraz, known for its demanding route, will be the stage for the San Francisco T100 Triathlon, which will feature some of the best triathletes in the world.

Waugh vs. Knibb: The Great Duel

After his victory in Singapore, where he achieved the largest difference recorded in a T100 race (6 minutes and 41 seconds), Kate Waugh arrives in San Francisco as the leader of the rankings and a big favorite.

But the British woman will face the current T100 world champion and winner in this same city last year: the American Taylor KnibbThe duel between the two will be one of the highlights of the weekend.

Returns, opportunities

Among the great candidates is also Ashleigh Gentle, who will be looking to improve on her modest sixth place finish in Singapore. The Australian already knows what it's like to win in San Francisco, with victories in 2015 and 2019.

Also returns Flora Duffy, Olympic champion in Tokyo, who dropped out in Singapore and will now seek to score points in the general classification.

For its part, the Swiss Julie Derron will try to return to the podium after a 12th place finish in the opening round. The Canadian Paula Findlay, winner in the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Oceanside joins the circuit eager to contribute from the start.

Spanish presence with Marta Sánchez

The only Spanish representative will be Marta Sanchez, one of the revelations of the circuit and who continues to accumulate experience among the best.

He will share the starting line with top-level triathletes such as Grace thek, Lucy byram and the British Jess Learmonth y Taylor Spivey, the latter fifth in Singapore.

Race to Qatar Ranking and Scoring System

The 2025 T100 season features nine stops plus a grand finale in Qatar.

Points are awarded in each race (from 35 for the winner to 1 point for 20th), and the four best results for each athlete, along with the final result, will count toward the final ranking.

El total prize exceeds 8 million dollars, making the T100 the best-endowed circuit in professional triathlon.
