The PTO moves the T100 from Las Vegas to Australia in 2025
La PTO and World Triathlon have announced that the test T100 of Lake Las Vegas, scheduled for October 25 and 26, 2025, postponed until 2026.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the organization has decided to take more time to redesign the cycling segment, which in its new version will cross the Lake Mead natural area.
The CEO of the PTO, Sam renouf, explained that "although the course was spectacular in 2024, we needed more time to work on the course changes. We have decided to offer a full refund to all amateur triathletes who were already registered."
Wollongong enters the scene: new T100 venue
In order to maintain the commitment to hold nine professional T100 circuit events, the PTO has confirmed that Wollongong (Australia) will host the men's and women's professional competition on Saturday 18 of October 2025, as part of the World Triathlon World Championship Finals.
The coastal city of New South Wales will bring together the 20 best men and 20 best women of the T100 ranking, in an event that promises strong emotions in the midst of the fight for points towards the grand final in Qatar.
Ashleigh Gentle, motivated by running at home
The Australian triathlete Ashleigh Gentle, currently sixth in the T100 Race To Qatar rankings, expressed her enthusiasm:
“Wollongong is an incredible place to race, and it's always special to race on home soil. I'm looking forward to welcoming the T100 athletes to Australia.”
An event that unites short and long distance triathlon
The inclusion of Wollongong in the calendar The T100 represents a milestone in cooperation between the PTO and World TriathlonAccording to the president of World Triathlon, Antonio Arimany:
"This collaboration reinforces our commitment to growing the sport globally. The event will be a true celebration of triathlon."
Over four days, 13 events will be held, including elite, U23, junior, paratriathlon, age group and a popular triathlon categories, with more than 6.700 athletes worldwide.
A city dedicated to triathlon
The event hopes to attract more than 15.000 spectators on Wollongong's waterfront, cementing its status as a key destination for international sport. Local authorities, including Destination NSW and the Wollongong City Council, have worked together to ensure a positive impact on the economy and the community.
