Great weekend of triathlon at Triton Lisbon 2025
Last weekend, Lisbon became the Portuguese epicenter of triathlon with the celebration of TRITON 1 Lisbon 2025 , an event that brought together athletes from different countries in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.
With routes that combined the toughness of the asphalt and the attractive environment of the Oceanário, the event confirmed why the Triton World Series circuit has established itself as a benchmark in the middle and long distance.
Outstanding results across all distances
Sprint
In the women's category, Dutchwoman Cornelia Van Dorst was the fastest, stopping the clock at 01:20:01 . She was joined on the podium by Daria Klimova (01:26:42) and Portuguese Marta Figueiredo (01:14:35).
Among the men, local Pedro André Mendonça Fernandes took the victory with 01:13:42 , followed by Vitor Pereira (01:15:03) and João Cruz (01:19:03).
Women
Middle distance
In the women's race, the Portuguese Beatriz Passos dominated with authority and crossed the finish line in 02:27:29 , with the Dutch Wiep van der Toorn (02:41:43) and the German Antonia Porz (02:43:33) completing the podium.
In the men's race, Daynel Diaz Polo took the victory with a time of 02:10:59 , ahead of Pedro Olivato (02:16:15) and Bruno Fonseca (02:16:29), in a very close finish for the podium positions.
Women
Long distance
Khrystyna Salkova won the women's race , finishing in 3:44:03 and leaving no room for doubt. Spain's Alba María Rodríguez Martín (4:23:09) and Ana Oliveira (4:31:59) rounded out the top three.
In the men's race, Portugal's Ricardo Jorge Freitas de Carvalho shone at home with a time of 03:22:07 , beating Luis Ferreira (03:24:10) and Latvia's Sergei Sorokin (03:25:02).

Lisbon, a key step towards Portimão
Beyond the results, TRITON 1 Lisbon once again demonstrated its importance within the international calendar as a qualifying event for the TRITON World Finals , which will be held in Portimão from October 24 to 26, 2025.
The grand final will bring together the best triathletes of the year and will feature two unique formats: TRITON 1 , which concentrates all disciplines in one day, and TRITON 3 , which spreads swimming, cycling and running over three consecutive days.
Both will offer sprint, middle, and long distances, suited to both beginners and endurance specialists.
An important detail is that the final in the Algarve will award triple points in the world ranking, which could prove decisive in crowning the season champion.
Portimão, with its beaches and mild climate in October, is the ideal setting to close out a season marked by the consolidation of TRITON as an international circuit.
