Beijing enters the 2026 Triathlon World Cups

The international organization confirmed two new additions to its 2026 calendar on April 7. The first is the inclusion of Beijing as the new headquarters of the Triathlon World Cup, planned for the October 17 about standard distance. With this move, World Triathlon reinforces Asia's presence on the international circuit and gives more weight to a part of the calendar that was already key for many triathletes at the start of the Olympic cycle.
Beijing returns to the international circuit

The presence of Haikou, Chengdu, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tongyeong, Miyazaki and Jeddah confirms that Asia will have a prominent role in the 2026 World Cup calendar.
For triathletes, this opens up new options for competitive planning at an important stage in the cycle towards Los Angeles 2028. For World Triathlon, it also means regaining a venue with symbolic value like Beijing and reinforcing a well-established event like Hong Kong.
