Alex Yee returns to action at the WTCS French Riviera
After the resounding success of the triathlon in the Paris Olympics In 2024, the action returns to France with the first edition of the WTCS French Riviera.
The test will be held in sprint format on August 31st in Fréjus, and will mark a key point in the fight for the 2025 world title.

With Cantero in shape and Sánchez already seasoned in major events, Spain has a real chance of fighting for the top 10, and even dreaming of a podium finish if the race segment is completed on the run.
France and Australia, large blocks in search of the podium
The host team will be represented by Dorian Coninx, Pierre Le Corre, Yanis Seguín y Tom RichardRacing at home and knowing the surroundings can be a key advantage, as several of them have competed at Fréjus in the French Grand Prix.
The Australian team is notable for the possible presence of the ranking leader, Matthew Hauser, although he has not yet confirmed his participation. If he decides not to travel, Brandon Copeland, Callum McClusky y Brayden Mercer will take center stage.
More prominent names on the international scene
- Miguel Hidalgo (BRA), winner at WTCS Alghero, will be in the fight for another podium.
- Basque Vilaca (POR), triple medalist in 2025, arrives with Ricardo Batista.
- Morgan Pearson leads a powerful U.S. team with five athletes registered.
- The young Hungarian Marton Kropko will debut in the Series after his silver in Samarkand.
The Germans are also registered Henry Graff y Valentin Wernz, as well as a powerful Canadian delegation with Tyler Mislawchuk, charles pack y Mathis Beaulieu.
And who's missing?
Some important names such as the Frenchman will not be in Fréjus Léo Bergere, who will compete in the T100 event the day before, nor Csongor Lehmann (4th in the ranking). Also absent are Luke Willian, Adrien Briffod y max-stapley, all of them within the world top-20.

A new circuit… with a taste of revenge?
Although the route has not yet been officially announced, the race is expected to be held in the same area used by the local Grand Prix. This could benefit French triathletes, but be careful, because Alex Yee already won here last year on that same circuit..
The combination of the WTCS venue and the event T100 promises a week of pure spectacle on the French Riviera.
