Cassandre Beaugrand leads the star line-up at Yokohama 2025

All WTCS winners from 2023 onwards will be on the starting line.

The next May 17, the Japanese city of Yokohama will once again host one of the most anticipated events of the year on the circuit WTCS 2025

Despite being the start of the Olympic cycle, the event will have the most powerful female lineup in recent times: will be present All WTCS winners since May 2023.

Headlining the lineup is the current Olympic and world champion Cassandre Beaugrand.

The Frenchwoman arrives in top form after winning both the Supertri E World Championships in London and T1 Indoor Triathlon World Cup in Liévin, and after breaking the French national 5K road record with a spectacular 14:53.

Beth Potter, Leonie Periault and German Domination

The British Beth Potter, bronze at the Paris Games and world champion in 2023, will be one of Beaugrand's greatest rivals. Potter has started the year strongly, achieving a new personal best in the 10K (31:15) and reaching the podium in London, just behind Beaugrand.

But it won't all be a Franco-British duel. Leonie PeriaultBeaugrand's compatriot, arrives with confidence after beating Potter at the European 10K in Leuven and will look to defend his title in Yokohama.

And if there is a country that shone with its own light in Abu Dhabi it was German. Lisa Tertsch, Nina Eim y Laura Lindemann They signed a historic hat trick at the opening of the circuit. They will all be in Japan, along with Annika Koch, Tanja Neubert y Selina Klamt.

The United Kingdom and the United States are coming with everything

Kate Waugh, the recent winner of the T100 Singapore, and Sian Rainsley will also be representing the British team. Instead, Georgia Taylor-Brown, a top-10 player in the world and a regular at these events, will not compete in Yokohama.

Five important names arrive from the United States: Gwen Jorgensen, Olympic champion in 2016, will be accompanied by Taylor Spivey, Summer Rappaport, Erica Ackerlund y gina serene.

Yokohama: A key event on the road to LA 2028

Although Olympic qualification is not yet at stake, the Japanese event is shaping up to be a perfect gauge of the medal favorites' fitness in the coming years.
