Madrid dominates the 2025 National Autonomous Election in Mérida

On July 6 and 7, the event was held in Mérida el Spanish Triathlon Championship by Autonomous Communities and for School Ages CSD CESA, leaving the Madrid selection as the big winner in the overall standings. Along with her, they completed the podium Galicia, in second position, and the Valencian Community, third.
In addition to the absolute test, the weekend focused on mixed relay competitions, both in school categories (youth, cadet and children) and inclusive, as well as in the Absolute Mixed Relay, which closed the event.
School relays: the Valencian Community shines brightly
In the Mixed School Relay events, six communities shared the podium. In the Juvenile, the gold went to Madrid, followed by the Valencian Community y Castilla y Leon.
In the categories Cadet e Infant, Valencian selection won both events. In the cadet category, Madrid y Catalonia completed the podium; while in children's they did so Galicia y Andalucía.
Pelayo González seals Madrid's victory in the Absolute Relay
The new absolute mixed relay format, known as blind relay, allowed for more dynamic strategies. In this modality, technicians choose the order of participation on the fly.
In this test, Pelayo Gonzalez closed a brilliant performance by the Madrid team, which was crowned champion ahead of Galicia, second with a double female start strategy, and the Valencian Community, who took the bronze.
Podium inclusion: Andalusia and Murcia gain strength
Inclusive tests also had a leading role. In the Inclusive School Relief, Andalucía won the victory, followed by the Valencian Community y Galicia.
In the absolute version, the title went to the Murcia, accompanied on the podium by Balearic Islands (silver) and Galicia (bronze). The Valencian Community was fourth, Andalusia fifth, and Extremadura sixth.
